Terms of Service

The rules and conditions governing your use of EX-N services and tools.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EX-N Cybersecurity website (exncybersecurity.net) and any services provided by EX-N Cybersecurity. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

EX-N provides cybersecurity consulting including website security testing, web application security analysis, application security analysis, and network & server security assessments. We also offer free and paid tools including a website security scanner. All paid engagements are governed by a separate written agreement.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our website and tools only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Important: Our free scanner is strictly for systems you own or are explicitly authorised to test. Unauthorised scanning may be illegal. EX-N accepts no liability for misuse.

3. Paid Engagement Terms

Authorisation

The client must provide written authorisation confirming they own or are permitted to test the target systems before any assessment begins.

Scope & Confidentiality

All engagements are performed within agreed scope. EX-N treats all client data and findings as strictly confidential and will not disclose results without your consent, except as required by law.

Payment

Payment terms are specified per engagement. A deposit may be required before work begins. Fees are non-refundable once work has started unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Free Tools

Our free tools are provided "as is" without warranty. Results are indicative only and should not be treated as a comprehensive security assessment. Free tools are rate-limited and subject to availability.

5. Intellectual Property

All website content — text, graphics, logos, tool interfaces, and EX-N-generated reports — is the intellectual property of EX-N unless otherwise stated. Assessment reports become client property upon full payment; EX-N retains the right to use anonymised findings for research purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EX-N's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in the three months preceding the claim. EX-N is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
